Day8- 365 Challenge- Recipe -Manathakkali Vathakozhambu

Ouch the mouth hurts, which is when Chinni decided that home made cures sometimes turn out to be the best medicine. It so happened that there was a small ulcer in my mouth, nothing worrisome, yet troublesome whenever the salty food rubs against the gums. So Chinni suggested that I chew a few raw cherries of Manathakkali or popularly known in English as black night shade or sunberry. It did create a soothing effect on my mouth and over the next few days, my moth ulcer was gone. In South Indian Homes Manathakkali is used in preparation of a spicy dish known as Manathakkali Vathakozhambu-which in turn happens to be the Recipe for today.
In a cooking pan add cooking oil and Toor Dal

Now add Methi

Add Mustard Seeds, Allow the Mustard seeds to splutter

Add Jeera

Now add a little cooking oil

Add Chopped Tomatoes
